Execute all assigned daily duties activities of operating and maintaining the fuel dispensing systems, trucks, and equipment used to support bulk, fixed and mobile fuel retail operations in support of the LOGCAP 5 contract.

Job Description:

 Responsible to supervise diverse workforce of Foreign National personnel in the operation of fuel systems and equipment, as well as the receipt, storage, issue, quality surveillance and accounting of all petroleum products.

• Forecast short and long-term mission requirements in terms of the operational readiness of all bulk fuel transporters, Bulk Storage and retail equipment.
• Responsible to ensure POL facility and equipment are Fully Mission Capable and report all deficiencies that could prevent completing assigned daily tasks or impacts to the base’s contingency mission.
• Prepare schedule for deliveries and receipts of Class III fuel products to ensure all required ‘on-hand’ quantities are maintained.
• Review and verify receipts and supporting documents of all incoming deliveries from OCO (DLA) or AIK depots.
• Review, evaluate operational data and metrics for favorable or unfavorable trends in accordance with the POL Logistical Management of Fuels.
• Correspond with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and ensure implementation of policies, procedures, and standards are maintained in accordance with direction by the Fuel Manager.
• Assist the supervisor to reconcile changes and updates to internal work instructions, policies, fuel support plans and procedures not covered by ATP 4-43 or other governmental fuel regulations.
• Participate in the Fuel Quality surveillance program for each product line to ensure quality, operational effectiveness.
• Teach personnel in safety protocols and environmental procedures and best-practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work is outside in extreme environmental conditions with ambient temperatures of 120 degrees, high winds, and sandstorms. Must be able to work in cold and wet conditions as well
• The Fuels Sections areas have potential for exposure to Environmental (Snakes, Scorpions)and Chemical Hazards (Fuel Vapors/Fumes)
• Other exposures are transporting fuel over the Kuwait Highways and inside congested or confined areas at the work
• Employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) specific to petroleum operations, which includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. (Coveralls shall be flame resistance and antistatic) and (Gloves chemical resistant)
• Must be able to work overtime, evenings or adjusted shifts to complete mission requirements
• May be required to work an irregular schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Physical requirements include lifting, pulling, extended sitting or standing for extended periods of time, also involves climbing ladders and working from
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs continuously, 80 lbs intermittently
• Other Physical Requirements include repetitive motions of entering and exiting of fuel tankers
• Must possess normal color vision and depth perception and normal hearing ranges
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in oral and written English with a basic level of skill is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if the degree is required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required

A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s and Kuwait Driver License.

Experience:

Four years’ experience working in Military Petroleum Operations required
